Hey all! Bryce here! As I mentioned yesterday, most of the team is at Gen Con (where we've been shouting out the campaign for the last 2 days straight), so getting you guys a proper Update and the like may have to wait till the coming week, I'm so sorry!
One thing I DID want to take care of immediately, however, was our promise to 12-year-old Charlie Anderson and his family.

Not only did you guys come in throngs to support Charlie and his family, but you surpassed our goal of getting their GoFundMe to $39,228 to raise over an extra $2,000 extra, which is all going to be going to help cover hotel costs for the family while they wait for a room to open in their local Ronald McDonald house. For that reason, we pulled the trigger on our promised match of the full additional $2500 USD just this morning!

Hey everyone! Two things for you! First... We are BACK, once again, to say you guys are truly remarkable!
With only a few days remaining, we have officially crossed the $750k stretch goal!! Thank you, thank you!
Hitting this stretch goal means that each book will have TWO additional black and white battle illustrations within its pages, likely to add detail to two of the larger battles in THE BOOK OF REMEBRANCE! Alagaësia never looked so gooood!
ADDITIONALLY... Bryce promised it but it failed to get put in the graphic, sorry... We are also going to be adding a "1 of X Copies" line onto the signature page, with X being the funal number of units printed. This is NOT a numbering (that's way to involved for a run this size sorry), but it was a common ask so people could see at a glance that it's a limited product!
Onward to (hopefully) 1 MILLION! Never count out the Eragon community!
And speaking of the community... I'm handing this next part off to Bryce.
Hey all, Bryce here. When we hit $750k, we told everyone there would be a non-project event.
As promised, I'm here to not only shout out a member of the community struggling with a rare illness, but also announce a fundraising event that will run from now through the end of the campaign.
Charlie Anderson is a 12-year old fan of Christopher's and THE INHERITANCE CYCLE, and for more than a year he has been battling a rare type of cancer. He has been in and out of the hospital since May of 2024, and while Charlie has kept in good spirits, the nature of his condition and all the travel and accommodations have been very hard on him and his family.
To help offset some of the costs associated with Charlie's illness, his parents set up a GoFundMe towards the end of last year with a goal of $45k, and have successfully raised over 34,000 of that since it's launched.
SO WHY AM I TELLING YOU ABOUT THIS?
According to Charlie's father, THE BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE is the only legacy thing he has asked for, and it's exactly that kind of enthusiasm and love for Eragon, the series, and the community that have allowed Wraithmarked to thrive alongside you guys for most of the last year as we work to bring you all some amazing stuff within Christopher's world.
So... We thought it was time to give back a little bit. As of the posting of this Update, Wraithmarked Creative has donated $2500 USD to Charlie's GoFundMe. HOWEVER...
From now until the end of the campaign, we will additionally be matching up to another $2500 USD, dollar for dollar, that is raised by all of you!
$36,728 is our starting point. For every $1 you donate, Wraithmarked will be donating $1 up to $2500 USD come Friday evening. That means that our goal is $39,228 USD by Friday at 6pm ET. Obviously this is not a requirement. There will be nothing held back from the campaign or your pledge if you don't donate. This donation isn't even coming from the campaign funds, so it effects nothing when it comes to THE BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE as a project.
We just thought it was a good way to offer a small thank you to at least one young fan and member of the community.
We know it's not as much as Charlie and his family could use, but we're hoping that up to a total of $7500 USD raised by Wraithmarked and the community will be helpful one way or the other. WOOOOOH WE HIT $600K PEOPLE! THAT'S AMAZING!
We're creeping along, but $1mil is NOT out of reach! Keep telling your friends. Keep telling your enemies. Keep telling everyone about The Book of Remembrance and we might just make iiiittttt!
We're updating the Stretch Goal graphics with the new $750k and $1mil goals tomorrow or Wednesday! I need to get the language correct for them to not mislead anyone on the art and non-project goal, so the delay is on me - sorry about that! We're on the way, though!
FOR THOSE ASKING ABOUT MAKING THE SAPHIRA STATUE AN ADD-ON/TIER!
I'm so sorry, I wish we could. The Saphira statue was only available for a limited time, and we've already locked in our print run for her so we can no longer make her available as an add-on or as a tier, my apologies.
HOWEVER...
As the Saphira backers already know, there may be one more opportunity to pick up the model after the Kickstarter supporters have gotten their statue. Like with all our products, Wraithmarked has committed to a security overprint of Saphira, this time of a little over 10% of the product we needed. This overprint is to ensure we have enough units to cover for statues damaged in shipping, misprinted, etc., but IF there are any leftover AFTER fulfillment is completed, we WILL be making most of those available for purchase (we'll be retaining a small stock for record keeping and future giveaways.)

Hi there everyone! Happy 4th of July to those who celebrate! Two things for you today!
NEW STRETCH GOALS!
As some of you may have noticed, our stretch goal section looks a little... blank near the bottom. To be honest, we didn't know what to expect with this campaign, and since this was put together on such short notice, a lot of the details came about the last couple weeks prior to launch!
That being said, we have additional stretch goals we'd like to share with you all!
First up, we are ADDING a goal at $750k!
At $750k we'll be including two things: a "This book is one of X" line on the signature page (not hand number, to be clear, just an indicator of rarity with X being the number of units printed) as well as two more black and white illustrations. These will be 5"x7" single-page illustrations, so not full spread, but that's cause we're going to tie them into the $1mil goal if we get there!
ALSO... at $750k, we are adding a secret non-project goal! This will NOT be directly related to The Book of Remembrance, so please don't anticipate new art or anything like that. All will be revealed if we hit $750k!
Please note that since it's the 4th of July, the Stretch Goal graphic probably won't be updated till Monday to reflect the new goal, sorry!
Next, at $1mil raised!
At $1mil, we'll be revisiting a past stretch goal... Remember the black and white map illustration featuring locations and dates? Well, if we hit that final goal, we'll be making that map in full color! It's going to look PHENOMINAL.
A full color map will need to be a tip-in sheet, meaning 4 pages to cover (since we don't like blank pages in our editions). The map would be the middle two (page 2 and 3) to form a 2-page spread. What we would do is take the two bonus illustrations from the $750k goal listed above and put them on pages 1 and 4! So in the end, you'll end up with a gorgeous full-color map flanked by pretty art!

TRANSPARENCY FAILURE:
This one is on us, sorry! There are two things we failed to communicate in the campaign that should be updated by the time you see this:
First, limited tier backers, please be aware that there will be very slightly more copies of your books out in the world than what your tier was limited to. This is because we will need to print 2-3 proofs of each edition in order to do quality control and get approvals from all important parties. The proofs are usually lower quality (like glued spines and digitally printed instead of smyth-sewn and offset printing), but they will exist! So there will be an additional 2-3 grey, black, and blue leatherbounds "out there", though they will never be sold.
Second, for everyone, we failed to communicate an important note: there IS a chance that the canon content from The Book of Remembrance will eventually be made available in mainstream stores. It may be repackaged and will not contain the names, art, design, details, binding, etc. of this book, but if anyone has backed thinking it's the only time they might see this material, please be aware that the canon content may be available separately at a different time and possibly more affordable!
