Preparing to send out Surveys...

Also, we're just about ready to start sending out surveys, but the last piece of that process is what's called a smoke test. To do this, we send out surveys to about 5% of backers to make sure everything in Backerkit is working as it should and that we haven't broken anything. We'll be conducting this test over the next 24-48 hours. If everything goes well, you can expect the rest of the surveys to go out by Monday at the latest!

While we do that, here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

• Spam Folder: Survey emails can occasionally find their way to your spam folder. Once we announce that all surveys have gone out, if you don't see anything come through from Backerkit, check your spam folder first.
• Apple ID Email Addresses: If the email address tied to your Kickstarter account is a secure Apple ID address, the survey email may be blocked entirely. The email addresses look something like this:  "[email protected]". Again, once all surveys go out, if you're not seeing the email from Backerkit, check to see if your email looks like one of these. You can try contacting Kickstarter support to change that, though we've seen backers have mixed results.
• If either of the above situations is the case, or you can't find your email invite at all, please email [email protected] to let us know, and we'll get that straightened out for you.
• If you send us a message on Kickstarter, we will request that you send the message to our support email instead. Thank you.

If you are a Late-Pledge backer (if you choose to back this campaign after the funding period comes to an end), you will not receive a survey as all necessary information we need is collected upon check-out!

A Note on our Support Availability...

There are 1-2 of us who monitor support emails. We'll introduce ourselves in a future update, but for the moment, we want to fill y'all in on our availability.

First, we work 8am-4pm EST, Monday-Friday, excluding all US Holidays. If you contact us via email ([email protected]), you can expect us to reply in 3-5 business days, though typically much sooner than that.

Firstly, if you are not pledged to a Dragon Rider tier or a Commander/Warlord tier, this update is not directed at you. Only these two tiers come with a portrait, so please feel free to disregard this update. Thank you!

The time has come to once again check in on you folks! You're one of the 18 who pledged to a portrait tier for Wraithmarked's "The Book of Remembrance" campaign (either as a character portrait or character + dragon portrait)!

We're reaching out to you to check in and make sure our message is seen - since you folks have additional information and files needed to fully fulfill your pledges, we require some extra correspondence. As mentioned in our private message, surveys are not being sent out until the second week in October, but we wanted to reach out prior to collect pictures from folks who have fully paid for their tier. 

PLEASE NOTE: If you are a Pledge Over Time Backer, we'll be reaching out again after surveys have been sent to all backers to request your picture.

For folks who have fully paid for their order, please email us at [email protected] with the subject line "[YOUR RANK] Portrait for The Book of Remembrance" and attach the image(s) you'd like the artist to reference. WE MUST RECEIVE THESE IMAGES NO LATER THAN FRIDAY DEC. 5, 2025 at 11:59 PM EASTERN, OR WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET YOUR PORTRAITS INTO THE BOOK.

AN EXAMPLE: John Smith who backed at a Commander/Warlord tier would send us an email labeled "Commander/Warlord Portrait for The Book of Remembrance"

Hey all! Bryce here! Some of you may already be aware of it, but just in case you weren't I wanted to bring to your attention that THE BEGINNING AFTER THE END's light novels are getting a print edition for the first time here on Kickstarter!

For those of you not familiar, THE BEGINNING AFTER THE END follows the story of King Grey who once benefited from unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability, but now finds himself reborn in a society dominated by magic. Given a second chance at life, the once-king strives to understand his role in this new world and the purpose of his reincarnation while correcting the mistakes of his past.

Backers of the campaign can bring home the first three (3) volumes of the series in hardcover or softcover editions. The hardcover is a deluxe illustrated edition featuring debossed fourteen karat gold and mother of pearl on a die-cut barn door, with every hardcover hand signed by TurtleMe (the author). This edition will contain ten (10) full-color original illustrations for each volume (samples below) with covers that depict imagery and scenes from their respective volumes.

This is a massively popular series, and one I've personally enjoyed enormously. It was adapted into a webcomic some years ago and rapidly to become the largest fantasy webcomic outside of Korea, bringing in lots of love and millions of hits! It even got adapted into its own anime earlier this year!

Thanks in advance for checking it out! I've been a big fan of the webcomic in particular for years now, so I was really excited when this campaign popped up on my radar! It's a fun series with tons of action and laughs, and I hope some of you pick it up and enjoy it!

MOVING FORWARD...

• First, Kickstarter will begin processing payments for your pledges. That will take approximately 2 weeks. If you did not use Pledge Over Time, this will be the full amount of your pledge. If you opted to use Pledge Over Time, this will be the first 1/3rd of your total pledge.
• If you selected Pledge Over Time, your second payment will be on or around September 1st, followed by your third and final payment on or around October 1st. 
• Once the final payment has been made for Pay Over Time backers, we will send out all surveys to the email addresses you have attached to your Kickstarter account. We expect this to occur by or around October 1st.
• Answer your survey questions and grab any extra Add-Ons you want. For those of you asking how to make your tier selections, you'll do that here.
• As we get all of the products made, you can expect to see an update from us 1-2 times a month. So stay tuned here for all the latest!
• Once we have the products and are ready to start fulfillment, we will post an update and send an email giving everyone 48 hours to update their addresses if needed. Once that window closes, you will not be able to update your address yourself and will need to contact us directly to make those changes.
• With addresses locked, we will start packing and shipping. This final step will take some time. We appreciate your patience. <3
